A Poem for God

Oh God most powerful and holy,
Who constructed life unconditionally,
The redeemer of the sins we’ve all committed,
The sanctifier, the professional healer and protector,
The Father whom we confided.

Thank you for giving us this life we’ve cherished,
For sharing us your eternal love,
For your precious time to us you’ve imparted,
For being a friend, a brother and a father.
Thank you for everything you’ve given.

Please always provide us our needs,
Give us your grace and wisdom;
Guide us to do good deeds.
Please help us to build your kingdom
In a way that we can be an aid to our brothers and sisters.

Forgive us for at times we may ignore your holy presence,
For neglecting your love’s essence.
Forgive us for our selfishness
For at times we’ve forsaken you and our brothers and sisters.
Forgive us for being tempted to sin.

Oh God, we unite ourselves to your holy plan.
We offer you all that we are.
Even if we have only a small jar,
We heartily offer you all that we have.
We entrust to you our lives forevermore.

God, you have made us wonderfully,
But sorry, for giving you a headache.
We love you, we honor you,
We want to be with you.
May you be our guide to be a gift to everyone AMEN.

Parent's Love

What are you doing?
Where are you at the moment?
A message for the child was sent.
Focused on the phone, patiently waiting.
For a reply from the child on what he’s doing,
And where did their child’s time have spent.

Seconds runs so fast,
Minutes seems to rush,
They’re impatiently waiting,
Then they scans their phonebook that’s so vast,
Finding no time for theirself to hair brush,
Dashing to their phone, dialing.

Then their child doesn’t answer,
Their heart beats faster,
Nervous and eager to find the reason,
Why there’s no answer from their daughter or son.
Tig...dig...tig... dig....tig...dig...
Heart beats faster that seemed to dig.

Late at night their child comes home,
Like nothing happens along,
Ignoring what his parents are doing,
Walking at the stairs thinking nothing.
How painful it is for his parents,
Being treated by their own child as such.

A new morning rises,
All seems quiet and serene,
His parents are still concerned,
Of what happened at dawn,
But no explanation was heard,

Still the parents love the child unconditionally yet stirred.

You're Our Harmony

Without you life seems so lonely,
Without you there isn’t a complete family
Please stay with us forever
You’re our saviour.

You may not be as perfect as others
But you strive to care for us and be braver
You’ve fight with us through struggles
And that’s what makes us stronger.

Whenever you mention your illness
We try to paint a poker face
Just to prevent our tears and sadness
And give you a good impression that stays.

Please don’t give up on fighting
We’re all in this together
Facing strongly guided by God our Father
We’ll always keep on supporting.

You’re our family,
You’re our hero,
We love you.

You’re our harmony.

Imperfections

Perfection as they say is hard to achieve,

But it’s a thing to be build and to develop,
Like the horses in a track field gallop,
It must be consistently build to reach the top.

Perfection isn’t achievable, but excellence isn’t detrimental,
That’s why the word imperfections comes in our vision,
To let us know that attaining perfection fatal,
That’s why excellence not perfection, should be part of our mission.

Summing Up

I’m thinking of a number,
All I have now is to remember,
Remembering the tiring days,
Wishing to listen at what everyone says.

I can’t figure out how to sum my day,
I wish I could just be near the bay,
Watching the waves rolls back,
Than summing a day without luck.

Hoping my day just be as easy,
As adding one and two equals three,
Than experiencing a day that goes crazy,
Chasing it, but then it left and flee.

But then today is still essential,
It will be treated as my rehearsal;
Today is still a glimpse of tomorrow,
The day I will reap the harvest of what I sow.

My day might not be easy as Addition,
But this day will help me to post my vision,
A vision of me being victorious,
In my chosen path with terrific treasures.

Love Story

I am dreaming of a love story that ends happily,

Like in fairytales, that ends happily ever after.
I’ve been watching movies and TV series,
It captures my attention, and then I watch it heartily.
I’m a fan of them, but then I’m reminded to be clever,
For I thought such schemes happened only in front of the screens.

I have a given those schemes a deeper thought,
And now the schemes which I fantasizes,
Is truly happening in real life situations.
Real life displays a mixture of romance, suspense or a fight,
Learned there’s no love story that has the same starts and ends,
Love stories are unique, build by two unique people in their own fashion.

Student's Oath

I may not be the greatest student of all,

But I’ll do my best to not fall,
For everything I have, comes from above,
Showered for me from God’s genuine love.

God has given me the things I need,
Through my parents hardwork and desire,
To give me a life not in burning fire,
But to a blissful life with a growing good seed.

I might be having shortcomings,
Yet, I don’t want to stay put and not work at all.
For my misfortunes are there not to stop and snatch my dreams,
But are there to teach me lessons even at the smallest hole.

Completing my promises for my part,
Isn’t just only for me, but for my parents’ hearts.
They who have strive to send me to school,
Hence, I don’t want to make them a fool.

I’ll do my best to do what’s right,
And study with all my might,
To be a gift not just for my family,
But for all the people who I do cherished truly.

Greetings of Gratitude

Another day has come,
An ordinary day for some,
But not for us your friends
Whose greetings we send.

Today a special woman is born,
Who eases our life’s thorns,
Who lends us an ear to listen,
When we have problems solve in hasten.

We’re blessed for having you as our friend,
No matter how tough times are,
Your time to us you lend,
Wherever near or afar.

We may be afar but you’re always part of our life,
In happiness and strife,
We will always be there for you,
Like you are in our lives.

On this special day of yours,
We would like to express our gratitude,
For being always there, in sunshine or storms,
May you always be our dear friend indefinitely.

Happy Birthday to you dear,
On this special day each year,
May you always be happy and faithful to God,
Who gives hope and watches you above.

Mama

Sa’yong pag-aaruga’t kalinga,

Heto kami’t ngayo’y malaki na,
Sa iyong pagmamahal na wagas,
Buhay nami’y naging maaliwas.

Bawat dugo’t pawis na binigay,
Sa ‘ming mga anak para mabuhay,
Pagmamahal na walang katumbas,
Na mulit muli ay mababakas.

Salamat sa pagtiyatiyaga,
Sa pagbibigay mo ng ligaya,
Kahit ano pa man ang mangyari,
Kaming lahat iyong tinatangi.

Mama ikaw ay aming idolo,
Sa pagharap ng mga pagsubok,
Na kahit pa ito ay marupok,
Ika’y hindi pa rin sumusuko.

Ikinagagalak namin mama,
Na ika’y aming mahal na ina,
Mahal ka namin magpakailanman,
Payo mo’y susundin kahit saan.

Calendar Year

Time seems to rush,
A day runs so fast,
Another month have passed,
The year again is about to last.

January then shines with bright,
For New Year’s image is coming at sight,
A year on which we hope to bring us light,
To bring us prosperity and delight.

February then gets closer,
Not just to remind us the day of lovers,
But to honour that day for our father and mother,
Who strives hard to make us better.

March is then occurring,
We can see the graduates marching,
At the moment they are all waiting,
For the diplomas they were dreaming.

April is then about to start,
Students were about to be apart,
For the vacation is about to commence,
And feel the Lenten season’s essence.

May then is inviting us to the seas,
To go enjoy our summer holidays,
To enjoy some refreshments,
To relieve some problems and stresses.

Start of classes in June is about to be at the sight,
To face school days with knowledge and might,
To remember to keep hold of your dreams tight,
So that we can finished our studies without a fright.

July then is coming,
This time we must have started working,
With any problems we’re encountering,
So that we can focus studying.

August then gives the sign of examinations,
To test our knowledge and also our limitations,
To improve them while we’re still studying,
To bring out the best of everything.

September has begin,
Another time to live as a teen,
A month to start to grin,
For gifts are about to be glean.

October is then resembling,
Semestral break for students is ringing,
A month of the Holy Rosary we’ll foresee,
How wonderful this month will be?

November is then approaching,
A month before celebrating,
The nativity of Christ the king,
Where we awe everything.

Then December has finally arrived,
A King is born that will save our lives,
Not just for the wealthy but for the deprived,
And for everyone who believes in Him and glorifies.

Then the year is about to begin again,
Wherein we can test our productivity and gains,
So that we can assess what to improve,
To start our path to move.
